Dentures

In some mouths where there are multiple teeth missing, a removable denture be recommended by your dentist.  A denture is made from hard-wearing material that mimics the look of teeth and gums to give your mouth a natural appearance. Your denture will be made to fit snugly on your gums and you will be able to remove it for cleaning.

Flexible Denture(Fracture Resistance)

Flexible Denture

With more modern materials, we are able to create the natural-looking appearance that is fracture resistance and behave like fixed prostheses called valplast or flexible dentures. They can be thin enough to feel comfortable and adapt well in the mouth. When our patients first wear a denture for the first time, then it may take time to get used to when speaking, eating and chewing.

It is important that you take extra care in your hygiene regime so that you can avoid bad breath, tooth decay and gum disease. A visit to our hygienist will be able to show you how to best take care of your denture and gums and will tell you about specialised brushes you can use to do this.

A program will be provided where as part of the full patient care, we arrange appointments and analyse wearing habits and cleaning habits for the denture provided. Here we will assess comfort, acceptability, adaptability and general satisfaction of the appliance.

We will work closely with our dental technicians to achieve the desired result for our patients. Prior to the completion of the denture, patients have the option to visit our technical lab to have a trial. This will involve agreeing on the colour shape and design of the denture, before the completion.
